On the 15th November 2017, the school recorded a great feat in sports with the opening ceremony of the 1st Treasures Olympic Games – a sport event scheduled to run through the 2017/2018 academic session.
The first ever sporting activity to be organized by the School, tagged 1st TREASURES OLYMPIC GAMES, was held during our 2017/2018 academic session. The event was broken into phases and ran through all the Terms in the Session. See below for the list of activities that were carried out in each phase of this sporting event.
PHASE ONE
- Opening Ceremony which was held on the 15th of November; 2017
- House carnivals
- Inter house Races
- Table Tennis competition for parents and
- Treasures kid soccer competition held in December 2018.
PHASE TWO
The 2nd phase of the Treasures Olympic Games was basically centered on indoor games for pupils, staff and parents. This took place at the school hall on the 14th of February 2018. A variety of indoor games were played, including games like draught, scramble, honeybee pot game, ludo, snake and ladder, connect four monopoly and bowling etc.
PHASE THREE
The final stage was held on the 28th and 29th of May 2018. Below are some of the activities recorded at this phase:
- Aerobics,
- Indoor games
- March past
- Football matches
- Races etc.
- Closing ceremony
The three phases of the Treasures Olympic Games were held in two locations – The school premises and BAJ PARK.
The Treasures Olympic Games is structured to be organized every 2 or 3 years.
